Best Buy launching the Wi-Fi only version of the HTC Flyer this Spring

According to a press release Best Buy will be launching the Wi-Fi only version of the HTC Flyer this spring. This tablet will be free from contractual obligations, which is a relief to many. Samsung earlier launched the Wi-Fi only versions of the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9, seems like HTC is following the same strategy as Samsung.

To refresh your memory a little, the Flyer features a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 with an aluminum unibody casing, an optional digital pen which lets users take notes or scribble, a 5MP rear camera as well as a 1.3 MP front facing camera, a 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor, a 4000 mAh battery, 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot, built-in dual microphones for noise reduction, and will on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC’s latest version of the Sense UI(upgradable to Android 3.0 Honeycomb). HTC have other tablets lined up too, this being the first of the lot.
