BlackBerry Torch 2 Running On BB OS 7 Caught In Action

Even though RIM’s good old BlackBerry hasn’t been doing that well with the experts and analysts, there is no shortage of leaks and new info available about BlackBerry’s latest. The phone that we’re talking about today is the BlackBerry Torch 2. The Torch 2 apparently will run BlackBerry OS 7. We have seen a bunch of leaks so far, but in this particular leak pictures have been taken from the side, front, back and also with the screen flipped up revealing the typical BlackBerry keyboard. Also interesting is that the Torch 2 will be running BlackBerry 7 OS. Previously it was believed to be launched with older iterations of BB OS. The BB 7 OS however was shown at the BlackBerry World event which was held recently.

The BlackBerry Torch 2 has a 3.2 inch display with a VGA resolution of 480 x 640 pixels and a 1.2 GHz single core display which is certainly an upgrade compared to the original BlackBerry Torch. RIM expected to do some damage to the already established Android smartphones with the BlackBerry Torch, but that didn’t turn out to be the case. Well, it is expected of RIM to turn the tables this time around with the BlackBerry Torch 2. But unless RIM does something spectacularly good or out of the ordinary, we cannot expect BlackBerry Torch 2 to give some competition to the already established iPhones or Android handsets. With the processor clocked at 1.2 GHz, the BlackBerry Torch 2 definitely is a very good contender. And with the BlackBerry OS 7, we think RIM is going in the right direction. Lets hope things end up well for the Canadian giant.
