CyanogenMod Version 7 Released

The final version of the very popular custom ROM based on Gingerbread, the Cyanogen Mod 7 has been launched. The final version has been launched after 4 RCs were released over a span of 2 months. The CyanogenMod7 is now available to users in ROM Manager. You may also manually download the CyanogenMod7 if you feel like you’re up to it. As per the CyanogenMod Blog, the CyanogenMod7 still has some upgrading left. Apparently some features from the Froyo based CyanogenMod6 haven’t been implemented yet. These features would be added with the CyanogenMod 7.1 update.

This may look exciting, but you need to keep in mind that you will be voiding your warranty if you root or Mod your phone. Of course, you get some extra perks when you root your device, but at the end of the day, would it be worth voiding your warranty? Also, if you’ve been favored by CyanogenMod you should really consider donating a fair amount of money, since they’re doing this all for free.
