Google Music launching on Honeycomb devices

CEO of Motorola Mobility Sanjay Jha spoke at the MWC yesterday and gave out some information about the Motorola Xoom tablet and Honeycomb: "If you look at Google Mobile services [via Android] today, there’s a video service, there’s a music service – that is, there will be a music service.” This is a clear indication that Google is developing a Music Store of their own to rival the Apple iTunes Store. HTC Flyer to get a Honeycomb update on an unspecified date

HTC's Sense UI would not be as suitable on a tablet as on a cellphone. But still HTC have decided to launch the Flyer with their native Sense UI instead of waiting for a Honeycomb launch. They've made some tweaks to the UI though, so it's not basically the UI one would see on a HTC handset. It is quite a mystery as to why HTC went with Android 2.3.3 when Honeycomb is specifically made for tablet devices, but according to Android Central, the Flyer will be updated with Honeycomb in the near … [Read more...]

Part of their success results from the marketing department getting out the ad campaign and building hype around release dates for these products. The rest of the company follows suit and actually delivers working products on the release date, something that the makers of Android products, in … [Read more...]
