The Honeycomb tablets that we see today are generally the ones with a 10.1 inch display, but we were quite eager to know if there would a smaller Honeycomb tablet lined up for us. And now there seems to be one such tablet. The tablet will be made by ViewSonic and will be known as ViewPad 7x. This looks like a rumor, so take this with a pinch of salt for now, but we cannot disregard the device’s existence. A renowned website claims the authenticity of the device, in fact it seems like they have the device. They also claim that the device is to be officially shown off at the Computex Show in Taipei on May 31. The tablet apparently will make its way to the market in June.
The rumored ViewSonic Viewpad 7x will feature a 7-inch display, a rear camera as well as a front facing camera, a Nvidia dual-core processor, HSPA+ connectivity, DLNA support, an HDMI port and will weigh 13.4 oz. The pricing details haven’t been made available yet, but we think it could be priced moderately. We’re not sure if it would come with the recently launched Android 3.1 or Android 3.0 Honeycomb
The ViewSonic ViewPad looks like an exciting pocket tablet (if we may say so) and we hope the device does well because ViewSonic’s previous Android tablets haven’t done that well.
