White iPhone 4 Thicker Than the Black Version

The launch of the white iPhone 4 seemed like a pretty good one. Most considered it to be exactly the same as its black variant with the white color of course. What they didn’t know though, was that there was a technical flaw quietly waiting for us. Apparently the white iPhone 4 is a bit thicker than its black sibling. We know it doesn’t make much of a difference but still it matters a whole lot if a user wants to attach his own case or an iPhone bumper perhaps. And if the case is a bit tight(as it is in most cases), there’s absolutely no way to attach your own case.

This comes as a huge disappointment to users and owners who were expecting a device with the same thickness as the black variant, not that they would have noticed if it wasn’t for the tight cases. It would have been much better if Apple told this to the users before the purchase or even attach a booklet which would mention the increase in thickness. However, there might be a valid explanation behind the thickness. An Apple representative once said – “It’s not as simple as making something white. There’s a lot more that goes into both the material science of it – how it holds up over time…but also in how it all works with the sensors”.

White iPhone 4

That might just be the answer we were looking for, but this isn’t really a good ploy from Apple by not letting the customers know about it. Hopefully they will come out with a leaflet like we mentioned or will probably alert the customers before the purchase.
