Woot.com offering the ViewSonic G-Tablet at a price tag of $279.99

Carried away with too much talk about Samsung or HTC? Here’s something to refresh your brains a little. The folks at woot.com are offering the ViewSonic G-Tablet, an Android 2.2 powered device for a meager $279.99. And it’s a one day only offer, ending today.

Just in case you didn’t know, this 10.1 incher runs on a dual-core Tegra 2 processor making it very fast. The first Tegra 2 based tablet to be released by the way. So this isn’t a cheap Chinese knock-off they’re offering here. This is a genuine branded device with an awesome hardware. So be sure to check this out.

The G-Tablet features a 10.1-inch capacitive screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, a 1.3MP front facing camera, a 1GHz dual-core Tegra 2 processor, 16GB of flash storage, 512MB of RAM, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and runs on Android 2.2 Froyo. The G-Tablet has a solid build quality, but at times feels a bit creaky. And the plastic on the front and the back may look cheap to some. And since the display is not as advanced as most companies, it doesn’t provide nice viewing angles. But these small hitches can be easily ignored with the price tag that the device has. We think it’s worth the price, but it’s a one day only offer so hurry up.
