HTC EVO 3D Could Be Launched In The Fourth Week Of June

CEO of HTC, Peter Chou recently made it clear that HTC phones will come with unlocked bootloaders, and just some time ago he replied to an email by a writer saying that the HTC EVO 3D will come with an unlocked bootloader. And now there’s more info on the HTC EVO 3D. Apparently, Radio Shack could be selling the device during the last week of June or in other words during the 4th week of next month. This is pretty good news for all those who were patiently waiting to get their hands onto the device. This info comes from a slider by Sprint which doesn’t actually reveal the launch date in straight terms, but instead gives us an idea indirectly. The flyer says – “The Next EVOlution, Week 4: HTC EVO 3D-Glasses Off, 3D On”, which clearly indicates at a June end launch.

Well, it is said that Radio Shack will sell the device for $199.99 on a two year contract or for $99.99 with contract and qualified trade in. This phone is one of the eagerly anticipated phones by HTC after the HTC Sensation. This particular handset doesn’t require 3D glasses to view 3D content which is the highlight of the phone. Plus the big screen real estate makes watching 3D videos a joy.

To refresh your memory with the specifications of the HTC EVO 3D – It features a 4.3-inch 3D S-LCD display, dual 5 MP cameras on the back capable of recording 720p 3D video and 1080p Full HD 2D video, a 1.2 GHz dual core processor with 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage and will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread with HTC Sense 3.0 UI. The EVO 3D too like every smartphone isn’t without flaws. Glasses free 3D displays have a peculiar problem with poor viewing angles. So if you’re watching videos with 2-3 people, the video quality could get distorted.
